Home Remedies for Wrinkles

As people age, skin and health problems appear. Wrinkles are one of these. Wrinkles can appear on the face, commonly in the forehead and in the eye area. They can also appear on the hand and other body areas. Wrinkles are folds in the skin. The folds are a result of loosening of the skin. Wrinkles are often considered as a sign of aging. Some people resort to surgical procedures that can cost a fortune. They go through clinical operations to tighten the skin and appear young again. However, if you are on a budget and you want to keep safe, you can try easy and effective natural home remedies for wrinkles.

Aside from natural aging, wrinkles can be caused by many other factors. Lack of moisture can make the skin loosen up. Too much exposure to the sun can damage your skin. The heat from the sun can loosen the skin by drying up its natural oils. Ultra violet rays are also damaging. Smoking can make you look 5 years older because cigarettes sip out the moisture of the skin. Poor hydration is another factor. When the skin lacks water, it crinkles and folds.

Fortunately, you do not have to go to the doctor for a skin tightening operation. You only have to raid your kitchen and your backyard to find good solutions to wrinkles. Natural home remedies for wrinkles are safe, so you will never go wrong.

Your skin needs moisture to keep it supple, tight, healthy, and young-looking. Natural oils such as coconut oils are good moisturizers. Apply on the face, and on other body parts prone to wrinkles, like your hands. Make sure to massage the oil gently to the skin.

This next option is very easy. You just have to go to your kitchen and open your cupboard. You can prepare a natural cream by mixing equal amounts of olive oil and honey. Mix well and apply on the face. Leave the mixture on the face for at least 15 minutes. You can even sleep with this mixture on to allow the natural tightening components to soak through your skin. Wash the mixture off thoroughly. Feel how supple and tight your skin becomes after using this home remedy for wrinkles.

If you think alcohol is always bad, then you’re wrong. You can use vodka as a treatment for wrinkles. Make a toner out of two tablespoons of vodka, two tablespoons of honey and one tablespoon of fennel seeds. Mix the ingredients well, making sure that the three ingredients are well blended. Store the mixture at room temperature for three days. Use this concoction as a toner.

Another alcohol that you can use against wrinkles is brandy. Boil two cups of water and put in half a cup of rosemary leaves. Let it boil for a few minutes to allow the juice from the leaves to come out. Pour in half a cup of brandy. Let the mixture cool and strain the leaves out from the liquid. Apply the mixture to the skin at least twice in a day. Make this a regular habit and see the benefits it gives your skin.

Fruits are good home remedies for wrinkles. Lemon juice naturally exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells. Pineapple is also an alternative. Rub the pineapple very gently to the skin.

Home Remedies for Uterine Fibroids

Uterine fibroids are muscular tumors (almost always non-cancerous) that develop inside the walls of the uterus. Your doctor may refer to this condition using the term leiomyoma or just myoma.

The symptoms of uterine fibroids can be very light to very painful. In fact, some women may not even know that they have them until a pelvic exam. However, when symptoms manifest themselves, they are often very difficult and annoying to deal with, which is why home remedies are a common treatment.

Symptoms of uterine fibroids include:

Painful periods that may cause significant bleeding. (in the most serious cases this can lead to anemia.)You tend to have to urinate more often.Discomfort during sexual intercourse. The lower abdomen may feel enlarged. You may develop complications while pregnant or in labor. (Fibroids increase the risk of a C-section by 6X)

The causes of fibroids vary individually, but the two leading causes are due to genetics and hormonal imbalances. As women go through menopause, the risk of developing fibroids increases. In fact, most cases of fibroids occur when women are between the ages of 30 and 45. Other causes include obesity and bad eating habits.

Home Remedies for Uterine Fibroids

To get rid of fibroids using natural techniques, the best option is to increase your amount of exercise. It will also help to eat healthier, including more green vegetables and less red meat. To relieve yourself of symptoms, try heating castor oil so that it is warm and apply it to the abdomen area. Some herbs such as milk thistle or dandelion root have been popular in relieving pain. See my review below of the best home treatment programs that are full of many more techniques to naturally rid yourself of fibroids.

How To Treat Uterine Fibroids

The treatment you receive will depend greatly on what symptoms you are having as well as how old you are, the size and location of the fibroids, and your future plans on conceiving a child. Doctors will commonly prescribe a low dosage of birth control pills, or in more serious cases a drug known as Lupron. Lupron is used to help shrink fibroids and provide temporary relief. In most severe cases, surgery is called upon but it is not generally recommend for women looking to get pregnant in the future. There is what is called a myomectomy, which removes the fibroids without damaging the healthy tissue in the uterus which, if successful, will allow a woman to become pregnant in the future. Other surgery options are a hysterectomy or endometiral ablation. A hysterectomy is performed to remove the uterus, which will then cure and prevent future fibroid growth. Endometrial ablations just removes the lining of the uterus, which will then prevent future bouts of intense bleeding.

Home Remedies for Yeast Infection

Yeast infection is one of the common problems that may affect the female genitalia. Around 90 percent of women have experienced this problem at some point. Yeast infection is known in the medical world as Candidiasis. The name is derived from the bacteria responsible for the infection- the candida albicans. Candida Albicans grow in moist body parts, like the mouth and the vagina. Yeast brings discomfort as it causes an itching and burning sensation. When you have a yeast infection, urinating can become very painful. You will also have thick and white vaginal discharge. If not medicated, yeast may pose a serious threat to your health. It is imperative to cure this condition at its early stages. It is better to use safe, natural home remedies for yeast.

Yeast infection can be controlled and prevented by maintaining the right amount of acid in the vagina. When a woman becomes pregnant, her body encounters many changes. This includes changes in acidity levels. This makes pregnant women prone to yeast growth. Hormonal imbalance, even among non-pregnant women, can trigger yeast growth. Sexually active women are particularly prone to this disease. Yeast growth can be developed by repeated intercourse in a short period of time. The usual practice of using oral contraceptives in preventing pregnancy may have many side effects, depending on how the body responds. This again includes yeast infection. Natural home remedies are effective in easing away the throbbing that you feel when experiencing a yeast infection. More importantly, these natural ingredients kill the bacteria responsible for the infection.

The itching caused by this infection can be unbearable. It brings so much discomfort. To ease this, use boric acid capsules. Boric acid is also known as boracic acid and orthoboric acid. This is used as an antiseptic. To cure a yeast infection, you need to insert capsules of boric acid. This results in quick to relief from itching caused by infection.

Apple cider vinegar is good in killing bacteria. You can use this as a feminine wash. Observe how the infected area improves during the use of this home remedy. It is good to use this until the affected area completely heals. You can add garlic cloves to the apple cider vinegar to control itching.

Tea tree oil has a lot of medicinal benefits. It is even effective in healing yeast infection. You can apply this to the area as often as possible. Alternatively, you can use a tampon in using tea tree oil. Just soak the tampon in a bottle of tea tree oil. Insert the tampon. Repeat for three to four nights. This is one of the commonly used home remedies for yeast infection.

Another alternative is using a solution of Potassium Sorbate diluted in water. With a pint of water, pour in 15 grams of Potassium Sorbate. You can use this solution to wash your vaginal area. A more efficient way of applying the mixture is to use tampon. Similar to the use of tea tree oil, soak the tampon in the pint of mixture and insert it in the vagina.

Infection can be reduced by doing a salt hip bath. Epsom salt is used for killing bacteria and in relaxing the affected area. Pour a few tablespoons of epsom salt into a warm water. Use this for hipbathing.

Very tight clothing can cause discomfort. It can also affect the moisture in your private area. It is advised to use cotton panties instead of nylon. Most importantly, good hygiene is imperative. Make it a habit to wash your private area with feminine wash that is dermatologically tested to maintain the right balance. When affected by a yeast infection, resort first to natural home remedies. They are effective, easy, and safe.

Home Remedies for Wart Removal

So you got warts? How do you get rid of that little thing protruding from your skin? Do you have to schedule an appointment with your dermatologist? How much money will you have to spend for the treatment? Well, you do not have to fret and panic. There are easy, fast, and effective home remedies for warts.

Anyone of any age and gender can get warts. Warts are generally a small and rough protrusion on the skin. They can either be brown, black, or white. They are caused by viruses. The viruses enter the skin through small cuts and scratches, causing an abnormality of skin cell growth, thus creating a wart. The viruses are contagious; you can contract the wart-causing viruses through a simple handshake with someone who has warts. The virus can also be shared through indirect contact such as using the same towel as an infected person.

Flax is good for removing warts. Prepare a mixture of ground flax seed and flax oil plus a little honey. Cover the warts with the mixture. Try to keep it on for the entire day or as long as possible. Apply this everyday until you see your warts slowly shrinking in size.

Natural oils are very effective home remedies for warts. Camphor oil can be applied to the problem area. The more often you apply camphor oil the faster the warts will heal. Castor oil can also be an alternative. Apply this at least two times a day. Tea tree oil can also work. When you apply natural oils to warts, you have to massage them into the area for at least 2 minutes to allow the skin to absorb the oil.

Garlic can be the easiest home remedy for warts. Crush enough cloves of garlic to cover your warts. Secure the garlic by either using a piece of cloth or a bandage. You can do this before you go to bed and wash the garlic off in the morning when you wake up.

Another very simple option is using a banana peel. During a weekend when you can afford to just stay at home, put a piece of banana peel on your warts. The inside part of the banana peel should be in contact with the warts. Secure the peel with a piece of clothing or a bandage.

Duct tape can also remove warts. A chemical in the adhesive can affect warts. Place a small patch of the tape over your wart and leave on all day. Over time, if you do this consistently, the tape will remove your wart layer by layer.

Surprisingly, as simple as putting a piece of fresh pineapple can help you get rid of those annoying warts. Rub it gently to the warts. Do this procedure as often as you can for at least 2 days. Pineapple is rich in vitamin C that helps fight infection.

Remember that warts are caused by a virus. To be able to guard yourself from this infection, it is imperative to build resistance against viruses. Taking the required dose of Vitamin C has proven effective in fighting infections. It is also important to stay away from areas and people infected with viruses. Always keep your skin clean. Warts grow out on damp areas of the skin. Thus it will help if you keep all areas of your skin dry. If you perspire a lot, make it a habit to bring a handkerchief to wipe away perspiration. It is also important that you try natural home remedies for wart removal because they are safe.

Home Remedies for Asthma to Prevent Asthma Attack

When it comes to asthma home remedies be careful about which ones you choose. If you are looking for natural home remedies on the net, be careful and study each one before attempting them yourself, look for testimonials from other asthmatics that have similar symptoms to what you may be experiencing. Another good tip to remember when trying to prevent attacks, is to try and cover you nose and mouth when going out into the cold air, because the cold air will likely cause symptoms for you.

Besides, it is a good idea to stay away from dairy products such as milk and cheese, because they can increase the amount of mucus that comes with an attack. Natural home remedies that actually work can be something that is hard to come by so do your research before trying any asthma home remedies.

Natural Home Remedies for Asthma

There are a lot of natural home remedies out there and finding the one that is both perfect for you and actually works can be a difficult experience, so here are some natural home remedies that might make that experience a little bit easier. Today one of the most popular natural home remedies for asthma would be honey. Yes, you read that right, regular honey right out of your kitchen! It is said that by smelling the honey it can actually reduce your symptoms.

A lot of people who suffer from nocturnal asthma know how difficult the night time hours can be, but vitamin C may very well be the answer. Vitamin C is said to help prevent those symptoms that occur during the night and early hours of the morning, so by taking vitamin C before bed could help reduce some of your night time symptoms. Sometimes out of all the home remedies there is just nothing better then good old-fashioned fresh air, simply setting outdoors can help reduce your asthma symptoms, but be careful to avoid dust and cold weather.

Garlic is also considered to be an effective part of the group of natural asthma home remedies. Another popular theory for curing or reducing symptoms would be to boil garlic in milk. This is said to help in many asthmatic symptoms. There are also many home remedies involving grapes this may sound a little strange but some people swear that it is effective. The theory is that you should soak fresh grapes with seeds, in water then place them in a cool place. Then chew the grapes before bed. This helps prevent symptoms. Again, none of these home remedies have been scientifically proven to be true. They are simply home treatments that others have tried. Some may work while others may not, it is up to you to decide for yourself if these treatments actually work.

Remember that if you are thinking about trying any of these, ask your local physician to see if it will be safe for you to try out these home remedies. Never forget that a lot of the home remedies for asthma out there today are just suggestions by people who have asthma or know someone with asthma. This condition develops when the white blood cells penetrate the walls of the stomach, most of the time as a result of an injury. There are cases of both acute and chronic gastritis. People with iron deficiency conditions are prone to suffering from long-term gastritis. Home remedies that can effectively deal with this condition are vital to consider to prevent a worsening of the condition. This is because many cases of stomach ulcers have been pointed to gastritis as the culprit.

As a general rule, the most effective way to keep away from suffering the implications of gastritis is to avoid doing or at least staying close to what causes its development. For example, avoid eating spicy foods in excessive amounts so that you reduce the possibility of developing inflamed gastric walls. Other items and habits that you need to stay away from is the consumption of excessive alcoholic drinks, condiments and other spices, sour food items (such as pickles), coffee, strong teas, and of course smoking.

Difficulty with digestion would also put the stomach linings at risk for injuries. Chewing fresh ginger can stimulate digestion and help in preventing gastritis. Coconut water is another common home remedy for gastritis due to its capability to calm down and soothe the stomach linings.

If you have roasted fennels at home, you can chew this after eating your meals and you will find relief from the pain of gastritis.

If you have licorice root tea, you can also turn to this as one of your home remedies for gastritis. All you have to do is put ½ teaspoon of this tea to one cup of hot water and drink it regularly three times a day. As a reminder, you need to strain this mixture before you drink it.

One of the most cost-effective home remedies for gastritis is to apply a hot compress to your stomach when you are not full. If you do not have a hot pack, you can also put hot water in a bottle and place it on your stomach. Just be sure that you can tolerate the heat so as to prevent scalding on that area of the body.

Another effective home remedy for gastritis can be prepared by rolling one or two pieces of garlic on dried seedless grapes. Eat it and you would certainly find relief from the pain brought about by inflamed stomach linings.

Have you ever heard of black salt? Well, mixing one part of black salt with six parts of Sprague powder would make an ideal remedy for gastritis.

Another variation of this mixture is achieved by means of combining 125 grams of curd to ½ gram of black salt and 2 grams of Sprague. This mixture is one of the most effective home remedies for gastritis.

If you want to get rid of the pains brought by inflamed stomach linings, dry friction and sponge baths everyday would free you from being troubled by gastritis. This only shows that one of the most effective home remedies for gastritis are those that are cost-effective and very easy to do.

Home Remedies for Burning Tongue

Burning tongue is a condition usually associated with a painful sensation in the tongue that extends and is felt in almost all corners of the mouth. The condition is also known as scalded mouth syndrome, burning lips syndrome, glossodynia, and stomatodynia. Burning tongue can affect not just the tongue but also the gums, lips, inside of the cheeks, or the roof of the mouth. The searing pain caused by this condition can be alleviated by a number of home remedies.

A common cause of burning tongue is yeast infection. The accumulation of fungi in the mouth could trigger a painful sensation resulting in burning tongue.

Hormonal deficiency and abnormality can also cause scalded mouth syndrome. As hormones are over-secreted or are produced at an abnormal rate by the glands, it can affect the mouth, especially when the hormones involved are those involved in digestion activities occurring inside the mouth.

Acid reflux is also a common cause of burning tongue. Acids in our stomach sometimes have the tendency to rise up in our throat with food. This can trigger a searing sensation that can be felt at the back of the mouth.

Food allergy can also trigger burning tongue. Allergens can incite reactions with hormones present in the mouth that, in turn, trigger a painful sensation inside it.

Nerve damage is also considered a common cause for burning tongue. Nerves transmit messages to the brain. If they are damaged, they tend to send false messages to the brain that can result in pain in the tongue. This condition usually occurs when the nerve damage is localized in the tongue or anywhere near it.

To alleviate pain caused by burning tongue, a number of home remedies can be used. These are cheap remedies where the necessary ingredients are readily available inside the home or are easily accessible to a patient.

A common and well know home remedy for burning tongue is gum. Chewing gum can neutralize acid formation in the mouth, thus alleviating the pain.

Sucking ice can also help in reducing pain associated with burning tongue. Since ice is readily available in every home, this is one of the most common treatments for burning tongue sensation.

Drinking plenty of water can also help with burning tongue. Water tends to balance PH level in the mouth that can, in turn, neutralize or prevent acid build up in it.

Honey and milk increase the level of blood circulation in the tongue and can also be considered a good remedy for burning tongue.

Fresh fruit juices and vegetable juices are likewise accepted as an effective home remedy for burning tongue. The acids in fruits are not as harmful as acids in the stomach. The nutrients are also a source of protection against scalding mouth syndrome.

Iron rich foods are a good addition to the diet for burning tongue patients. Iron rich foods help in the production of red blood cells that replace damaged cells. Iron rich foods include meats, spinach, almonds, beans, etc. (Iron is better absorbed from raw food sources!)

However, even with these home remedies, it is imperative to consult with a doctor during early signs of a worsening condition of burning tongue. The pain should not be endured completely but treated with proper medications from medical experts. There are cases when people tend to ignore the disease and it leads to complications. Home remedies for burning tongue are there for initial and immediate relief, but the long term and complete cure should come from a medical expert.

Petua Menghadapi Suasana “Frust Bercinta” Daripada Al-Quran

Zikrullah bermaksud mengingati Allah.

Perbanyakkan zikir, mudah-mudahan hati menjadi tenteram, InsyaAllah.

Wallahu’alam.

Familial Mediterranean Fever

What is Familial Mediterranean Fever?

Familial Mediterranean fever can be described as an inflammatory disorder in people, which can lead to recurrent fever, as well as painful inflammation in a person’s joints, lungs and abdomen. This disorder is generally inherited and is a lot more prevalent in people who are of Mediterranean origin. Therefore, Armenians, Arabs, Turks and Sephardic Jews may be a lot more susceptible to this condition, as compared to the others. While this disease can affect just about any ethnic group, those people who are of Mediterranean descent or have a blood relative who shows the familial Mediterranean fever symptoms are at a much higher risk of developing this problem. Heat Exhaustion in Children

Children are always at a higher risk of suffering from heat exhaustion under extremely hot and humid weather conditions where the body finds it difficult to expel heat even by sweating. This can result in dehydration and heat exhaustion which can further cause a heat stroke. Therefore it is vital for parents to recognize the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and provide the right treatment for heat exhaustion. Children should always be supervised while playing outdoors to prevent such emergencies. An adult’s body is more capable of regulating its own temperature as compared to a child’s body and this is why children are more prone to heat exhaustion as compared to adults. The other causes of heat exhaustion in children are that children spend more time in outdoor activities such as playing and sports and since they don’t have as much restraint as adults, they do not pay attention to keeping themselves hydrated or taking breaks or going indoors if it gets too hot.

This is why adult supervision is very important to prevent children from suffering heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Babies on the other hand are even more at risk because the heat absorption and heat production in their body is higher whereas their sweating capacity is relatively lower as compared to older children and adults. Excessive sweating causes dehydration and loss of salts from the body hence resulting in heat exhaustion. The most common symptoms of heat exhaustion include slightly elevated body temperature (normally never over 104 degrees Fahrenheit), pale damp skin, excessive sweating, elevated breathing, nausea, vomiting or headaches, weakness, dizziness or fainting and muscle cramps.

The first and most basic line of treatment for heat exhaustion and heat stroke should be to move the child to a cooler area immediately. The child should be made to lie down and all extra clothes and footwear should be removed to allow heat to escape from the body. Cold water should be sprayed or applied on the body to facilitate faster cooling. If the child has suffered heat exhaustion and is conscious, cold water or glucose should be given to him/her to drink. Incase the child is over exhausted and cannot drink, intravenous fluids might be a necessity and should be administered only by qualified medical professionals. If heat exhaustion is not treated in proper time, it can progress into a heat stroke which is even more severe. Heat stroke is an emergency condition which can cause permanent organ damage and even death if not treated properly in time. In a heat stroke the body absorbs and produces more heat than it can release and hence even sweating doesn’t take place properly to expel the excess body heat.

The symptoms of heat stroke include extremely high body temperature (usually above 104 degrees Fahrenheit), seizures, hallucinations, dry hot skin, headaches, nausea or vomiting, weakness, elevated pulse rate and fast breathing. The basic method of treatment for heat exhaustion and heat stroke are similar and involve bringing down the body temperature as quickly as possible using cooling techniques. Emergency personnel must be contacted immediately and in the meantime cold packs or cold water should be placed in the armpits and groin area to enable the body to cool down faster. Heat stroke victims however, should never be given anything to drink till their condition stabilizes. Body temperature has to be monitored continuously by the medical team and intravenous fluids are also administered to avoid dehydration. Preventing heat exhaustion would help in avoiding many other life threatening conditions as well. To prevent such emergencies, children should not be allowed to go outdoors in extreme heat and even if they do, they should wear light colored lose fitting clothes and should be made to drink water at regular intervals.
